Elektra

Elektra Noreste, S.A. , through the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI), invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the Elektra Scholarships for Investigation in Marine Science. Investigations must be carried out at the Isla Galeta Marine Lab and may comprise the coastal area of the Colon province.

Information

• Applications must include a draft with a detailed budget for the investigation (less than 6 pages long), curriculum vitae, two academic recommendation letters, and the names and telephone numbers of three additional academic references.
• We suggest that candidates consult a STRI scientific staff member and a local university professor, who will be their future supervisors, before submitting the final application.
• A maximum of $2000 in funding is available for investigation costs.
• Application deadlines will be April 30, August 30 and December 30.
