All persons wishing to carry out research at STRI facilities, or in affiliation with STRI, must fill out the on-line application form, no matter where the project will be conducted. This information is used to evaluate the research project or proposed activities including availability of office and laboratory space, equipment, housing, and necessary collecting and export permits from the Republic of Panama.

The applicant will be notified when the project is approved.

The completion of the on-line application does not imply that the project is approved. We require approximately one to four weeks to complete a project review.

The following form must be used for STRI-related research projects. Application must be received at least four months before the proposed research is to begin. Longer-term commitments can be negotiated when required by research protocol or outside granting agencies.
