M series parks include an area of seabed.

T series parks are terrestrial parks that extend to or near to the shoreline. Boundaries may or may not include areas of seabed, there is no fixed rule about this; if you want to do marine research (including work in intertidal areas) in areas that may be in such a park you should probably obtain a permit.
