For course work, STRI encourages collecting and releasing, not permanent collection. Collection permits are granted to course participants (professors and students) only for course work and not for independent research. Independent research projects will require a registered research project at STRI. No export permits can be requested by or can be granted to courses or course participants.

Group list + password number are required.

When your program is approved, note the following information and requirements:

  • STRI will be responsible for the course, will arrange logistics and coordinate the entire course in Panama.
  • A detailed course schedule will be available 6 months prior to your arrival date.
  • A list of desired lectures or field problems by STRI personnel can be made available to you upon request (an honoraria will be applied)
  • A list of participants will be required (gender, passports, nationalities, university level of participants).

  • A deposit of 50% must be paid two months prior to arrival.
  • On line registration is a must.
