Research Interests

Ecology and evolution of marine shelled invertebrates. Current research interests focus on: 1) Predator-prey and competitive interactions in neotropical mollusk and brachiopods; 2) spatial data analysis of drilling predatory behavior on marine shelled invertebrates across time; 2) biogeographical history of Cretaceous and Cenozoic brachiopods from northern South America and the Caribbean; 4) stratigraphy of the Upper Carboniferous (Morrowan-Atokan) sediments from Colombia and; 5) the semantic conceptions in philosophy of science.
